03 How a purchase works
From shortlist to certificate
Issuance and retirement are recorded on the registry — not on our books.
Select & reserve
Pick your volume and reserve it. We confirm availability, vintage and registry details in writing.
Due diligence
PDD, validation and verification reports and the issuance record are shared and checked against your requirement.
Transfer & retire
Credits move to your registry account, or are retired on your behalf with the beneficiary you name.
Certificate
You receive the retirement certificate, serial numbers and a documentation pack for your auditors.
04 Eligibility
A carbon credit is not automatically a CORSIA credit.
Most of the voluntary market cannot be used for CORSIA compliance. A unit has to pass three gates — and the third is where most otherwise good projects fail.
- 1An ICAO-approved programme
Issued under a crediting programme the ICAO Council has approved for the relevant compliance period.
- 2An eligible vintage
Reductions must fall inside the vintage window set for that compliance period.
- 3A corresponding adjustment
The host government must authorise the unit and adjust its own inventory so the tonne is not counted twice.
